ICMA 2013 Host Committee

-A A +A

This committee is responsible for planning and coordinating the 99th annual conference of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) that will be held from September 21-25, 2013 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.  Boston/New England is the host city and region for the gathering of more than 3,000 professional administrators, academic leaders, and student from around the globe.  MMMA, in collaboration with our colleagues from the other five New England state associations, are the hosts of this event.

To our colleagues from across the country, and indeed around the globe, welcome to Boston and New England!  We intend to host the best conference you've ever experienced.  The host committee is exploring ideas for field demonstrations, social activities, athletic events, and pre- and post-conference experiences you'll never forget.

When you put together your "bucket list" of cities you want to visit, surely Boston is in your top ten.  We are home to world-class educational institutions, incredible cultural amenities, and first-class restaurants.  New England is the cradle of American democracy and the birthplace of many of the most significant American ideas.  Our region features rocky coastlines and sandy beaches, quaint villages and historic seacoast towns, and green mountains and rolling hills.  We have hiking trails, bicycling paths, beautiful golf courses, and harbors for sailing.

Each month, we hope you will visit the site and look in the news and announcements on this page for updates on conference activities and events, as well as information that will enhance your experience in Boston and New England.  We hope to welcome many of you in September 2013!
