Newspaper columnist discusses on-line commentary

Using his opinion column in the Sunday, October 23, 2011 editions of the MetroWest Daily News, opinion editor Rick Holmes writes about the use and abuse of the comment section that any newspapers utilize in the on-line edition to promote public discourse.  Mr. Holmes had participated in a panel discussion that also included Framingham Town Manager Julian Suso and owner/president Craig Stadler of the State House News Service.  Many of the points made during the wide-ranging discussion are included in his column.
