The MMMA held its 4th Annual Boot Camp for new managers/administrators on Thursday, October 6th in Shrewsbury.
This basic training is intended for managers or assistants who have been in the profession for a handful of years OR for department heads who are planning to make the transition shortly.
Pasted below is an article that appeared in the October 7, 2011 editions of the Worcester Gazette & Telegram covering the event. A nice article about the "greying" of our profession and potential shortage of future public administrators. The article includes comments by Leon Gaumond, West Boylston town administrator and current MMMA President, and Jim Malloy, Westborough town manager and former MMMA president.
