The Association has awarded its Gerry Whitlock Memorial Scholarship to Nina Nazarian, an engineering project manager in the town of Tewksbury. Nazarian is just finishing her MPA at Suffolk University and plans to continue working in local government.
Nazarian is now working with the MMMA on a project to identify and highlight best practices of managers from around the state.
The annual scholarship is awarded to a graduate student from Massachusetts, planning a future in municipal management. It's named in honor of the late former town manager Gerry Whitlock.
