The MMMA membership is made up of many professional municipal managers and administrators who represent hundreds of years of combined experience, knowledge and wisdom related to Massachusetts local government. These professionals have faithfully led their communities through economic downturns, the implementation of Proposition 2½, transitions of elected boards and councils, developmental growth, building projects, and a myriad of other challenging municipal issues.
At any given time there are a number of retired and in-transition professional municipal managers and administrators who may be available for short-term "interim" manager assignments while a community undergoes its recruitment process for a permanent manager. These interim professionals can also assist the community in their recruitment process.
